Submitting
Research Reports
ALL RESEARCH REPORTS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY MAY
1, 2000
You will be required to electronically submit your research
report via ftp. E-mail research reports will not be accepted.
We will be using a strict file naming convention for submissions,
based on a unique identifier code (investigation id, ID#) for
each research report. Please verify the appropriate code for
your submission from the list. Assuming the code is T01, please
name your files as follows:
|
Camera ready manuscripts |
T01.doc (including all figs and formatted for final printing) |
|
Postscript figures |
T01-fig1.ps, T01-fig2.ps, etc. |
Encapsulated Postscript figures
.gif and .jpeg (.jpg) formats are also acceptable |
T01-fig1.eps, T01-fig2.eps, etc. |
To submit a manuscript, upload your files to our ftp server.
This is a write-only server; you will not be able to retrieve
any files you upload. You will not be able to overwrite your
files once you upload them. The steps to upload files are outlined
below. Commands that you must type are shown in red.
Continuing with the example above, assume the manuscript to
be submitted is contained in the file T01.doc, with three Postscript
figures: T01-fig1.eps, T01-fig2.eps, and T01-fig3.eps. Log on
to the server, create your directory and upload the items as
shown below.
