Why
Study Microgravity Science?
The Microgravity Science Laboratory-1 (MSL-1) carries experiments in general research, plus three primary science areas:
- Biotechnology / Protein Crystal Growth,
- Materials Science / Metals and Alloys, and
- Combustion Physics - The Science of Burning, and
- General Microgravity Science.
Of course, you might ask, "What is microgravity?", and how can you conduct science without gravity? ...After all, Sir Isaac Newton's science was gravity!!!
