
Welcome to beautiful Lake Guntersville State Park in the Tennessee Valley, overlooking
the 66,470 acre Guntersville Reservoir. Lake Guntersville is located at the base of the
majestic mountains of the Appalachian range. Travelers from all over the world marvel at
the spectacular natural beauty and color panorama offered by its 949 miles of winding
shoreline and 69,000 acres of sparkling waters. It is one of the finest sport fishing
lakes in America.
Lake Guntersville State Park ranges over 5,909 acres of ridge tops and meadows. It is six
miles northeast of Guntersville, Alabama, off Highway 227.
Lake Guntersville Lodge complex, overlooking Lake Guntersville, offers probably the most
picturesque view of all the state parks. Lake Guntersville Lodge complex was opened April
15, 1974. As you stroll through the lodge, you will be impressed with the massive dark
stained beams of laminated Alabama pine which is used throughout the interior. Marshall
County rock is prominent inside the lodge in the seven large fireplaces.
