First Light Presentation for the Marshall Grazing Incidence X-ray Spectrometer

Sabrina Savage (ST13) gave a talk entitled “Introduction to the Marshall Grazing Incidence X-ray Spectrometer (MaGIXS) Flight Data” at the Hinode-14/IRIS-11 meeting on 10/25/21.  This presentation touched on the development and challenges of the MaGIXS sounding rocket instrument and introduced the community to the flight data and current state of flight calibration and data analysis, particularly highlighting comparisons with Hinode’ s X-Ray Telescope and the Solar Dynamics Observatory’s Atmospheric Imaging Assembly.
