Chandra Conducts Periodic Flight Operations Engineering and Program Quarterly Reviews

The Chandra X-ray Observatory Program conducted a two day semi-annual Engineering review on 11/9-10/21, via Google Meet.  The Flight Operations Team technical subsystem engineers presented health and status data for each of the subsystems to Chandra engineers and management at MSFC and the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory.  Current and historical subsystem performance trends were also presented and discussed. Chandra subsystems continue to support nominal science operations.

Chandra also conducted a Quarterly Review of mission status on 11/17/21, via Google Meet.  Members of the Chandra team at MSFC, HQ and on the Chandra X-ray Center contract in MA attended remotely and reviewed program summary, flight operations, spacecraft health, science instrument status including the High Resolution Camera (HRC) and Advanced CCD Imaging Spectrometer (ACIS), ground system elements, public outreach, science data system status and science community support.  The Chandra observatory continues to support a full schedule of science with ACIS and HRC-I; adept science and mission planning, and operational processes, continue to produce maximal science efficiency.
