Manil Maskey and Rahul Ramachandran (ST11) participated in the virtual NOAA AI workshop on 9/19/23 and 9/21/23. The workshop focused on building AI centered applications around use cases that are relevant to NOAA’s mission areas. Maskey was on the organizing committee and co-chaired the session on “Data needs and challenges for AI benchmarking and research-to-application transition”. Ramachandran was an invited speaker delivering a talk entitled “Value of Use Cases in AI: Insights from a Foundation Model Approach.”
