The Commercial SmallSat Data Acquisition (CSDA) Program Announces the Availability of Popular MAXAR Collections in Earthdata Cloud for NASA-Funded Users

Helen Parache (ST11) and Aaron Kaulfus (ST11) supported the announcement on 9/14/23 of a selection of commercial data products in Earthdata Search. The CSDA Program archives commercial data to enable scientific reproducibility and reuse of data based on end user license agreements (EULAs). CSDA is migrating this archive in phases to Earthdata Search so that these commercial datasets are discoverable alongside NASA mission data. This announcement highlighted the popular Maxar (formerly DigitalGlobe) WorldView -2, 3, and 4 multispectral (optical and near-infrared) collections published in this first phase. All users can browse the available CSDA collections in Earthdata Search. Approved users can download these data for free from Earthdata Search. For access, please submit a Maxar Data Request or email The CSDA program continues to publish commercial data products so that they are available through NASA’s Earth Observing System Data and Information System alongside NASA mission and science data products.
