Heliophysics 2050 Concept Study Published

Dennis Gallagher (ST13) is coauthor on a paper titled, “Plasma Imaging, LOcal measurement, and Tomographic experiment (PILOT): a mission concept for transformational multi-scale observations of mass and energy flow dynamics in Earth's magnetosphere” has been published in the open journal Frontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences.  The paper describes a mission concept developed as a result of a NASA SMD Heliophysics Division competitive ROSES proposal for Heliophysics Mission Concept Studies ahead of the National Academy of Sciences solar and space physics decadal survey.  PILOT was one of the selected studies.
